2007 SDR Event in Lighthouse

In previous years we travelled to the very north of Donegal in August and operated radio from a lighthouse over a weekend. This year we hope to be a little closer to home. This is a month after IOTA and will be a more fun, less
pressured club event.

It should be great fun and I would recommend it to all SDR members
especially those that haven't been on a club trip before.

This year the date is Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th August.

We plan to operate from a newly renovated two bedroom house on site.
Assuming no workmen happen to be there the same weekend we should be able
to stay there overnight. But any available beds have been booked so it would be sleeping bags or B&B.

We intend setting up HF and some sort of VHF etc. This event is strictly NOT a contest and no prizes are awarded. It's just a turn up and have the craic event! However it would be good practice working a pile-up and computer logging. The idea is to let everyone get on air as slow or fast as they want.

Any club members interested should contact Dan
